Peer Support Specialist
Help youth in NYC facing mental health and recovery challenges by providing non-clinical peer support in a mission-driven, supportive team.
Location: Bronx, NY
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Position
PeerCorps Staffing is currently seeking compassionate and motivated Youth Peer Advocates (YPA) who already hold a Provisional Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) Credential issued through Families Together in NYS.
As a Youth Peer Advocate, you will use your lived experience to empower, mentor, and support youth and their families while working alongside behavioral health professionals.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a Provisional Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) Credential (Required)
Be authorized to work in the United States
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be passionate about supporting youth and families
Be able to work professionally within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in peer support, behavioral health, social services, or youth services
Reliable transportation
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
Provide peer support services to youth and families.
Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and recovery.
Assist youth in identifying strengths and achieving personal goals.
Collaborate with care teams and community providers.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Participate in required trainings and supervision.
